We were discussing the math on another thread a few days ago..Blacks are 12% of the country, and polls show that he still has a 95% approval rate among them...so the 0ther 20%..unions, fed, state, and local govt, and academe..

I'm not sure you can categorize it that way. I think of it more as low-income, pro-union workers; and unionized government workers. (Not all the government forces are unionized, but the unions dominate the appearances). Academia is really very small and not as influential as they think. Many people have learned to tune them out when they're not talking about their areas of expertise.

We need to go beyond speculation and find the facts. Who is supporting Obama? Why? What would it take to shake that support?
