I tried listening to Dr. Laura a few years ago, and I decided that anyone with an ounce of commonsense could do what she did. The people that called into her show were pathetic. It is the same with Dr. Phil. Do people actually have to go to school for this?
She got her doctorate in physiology not psychology, not that it really matters. You're right about commonsense, not enough people employ it in matters of their daily life. As a result they look to others to solve some of their problems.
