From all the AGW nonsense that I’ve read “the desire to commit fraud.” seems to be the correct answer almost every time.
There used to be the gullible public that believed it and were actually concerned for the Planet, but most people have seen Toto pull the curtain away too many times to still believe it.
Anyone who seriously studies AGW can see that it’s a hoax.
My local Leftist paper puts “due to global warming” in as many articles as possible. It seems like a non-sequitur most of the time:

please elaborate... I thought the boiling point gets reduced with altitude and Lake Michigan is approx 600 ft above sea level. with the sea level boiling point of approx. 212 F, shouldn’t the Lake Michigan figures be lower ?

Oddly enough, I am trained in statistics and have spent a good deal of time swimming in lake Michigan. I can assure you with confidence levels that vastly exceed 96.7% that heating is not a problem in that lake.
