I spent a day in Las Vegas last month for the first time in my 62 years and was struck by all the fellas wearing “1-800-GIRLS-IN-YOUR-ROOM-NOW” shirts trying to drum up business while speaking broken English or broken Spanish or some combination of the two.
And I just wondered: Who are the girls? Are they smuggled Mexican illegals? Do you think the authorities in Las Vegas would care if human trafficking and sex slavery was happening under their noses?
Just asking.

I can force myself to tolerate a minute or two of ‘Wan’ Williams because he is merely a misguided, somewhat daffy if otherwise decent-seeming human being. Whereas Beckel just oozes.
Periodically the police raid her apartment and break up her stuff.
The Cops in Vegas are not in the business of removing all the prostitution. Only the prostitution that hasn't ponied up.
Perhaps they will get a reformer who can take on the mob, perhaps not. The department has a lot of bad apples. Costco didn't just happen, it is emblematic.
