Although frankly, I don’t think buying ammo is a problem at all. If all the ammo is in the hands of conservatives, violence will be minimized.

Right. This is what the progressives are hoping for, then the teapartiers/freepers/conservatives will be revealed (on broadcast tv, over and over) for who they really are: ignorant violent rednecks who need to be incarcerated and have their websites shutdown.
