Was going to post this elsewhere, but the Savage Nation thread will do. Regarding the ground zero mosque debate...
Finding a legal reason to halt the buiding of the mosque seems to be the topic de jour. Everyone is talking about the constitution etc, but I believe a central idea is being overlooked. First, it is important to recognize that hamas, hezbola, islamic jihad, the taliban, the House of Saud etc all have lawyers versed in US law and are trying to use those very laws to screw us.
There is a broad doctine called “fighting words” that is a known limit to the notion of “freedom of speech”. The mosque itself is not strictly speech, but there are laws recognizing the “intentional infliction of emotional distress”, and that is how the plans for the mosque at the site of 911 can be crushed. And since there are hundreds of mosques in the immediate area, it can’t be said anyone’s “freedom to worship” is being trampled. Just some thoughts.
I bought season 1 for my wife ... she loves it!!
Also, the contributions need to be traced.
Is there any terror money being used to fund the mosque?

Investigations of funding will only go so far since sufficient money laundering and/or financial obfuscation would make a determination of the true sources of funding nearly impossible.
