This morning I noticed a link to a posting from the FreedomWorks website in which Freedomworks Chair Dick Armey presents their endorsement of David Malpass in the GOP primary for the special U.S. Senate election in New York. I then paid a visit to the candidates website, which headlined a recent endorsement by Sue Kelly, formerly a New York Congresswoman, and a prominent so-called pro-choice Republican. The quote from her endorsement statement tells us that David

Such enthusiasm from someone who aligns with the Democrat partys abandonment of the nations founding principles led me to search the web for some indication of his position on the issue of respect for the unalienable right to life. (In this regard, my interest had already been piqued by his websites argument from silence on any of the issues that involve respect for Americas moral principles.) I searched using the question Is David Malpass pro-life? and turned up an article with the following information his stances on some social issues are fairly moderate. He is pro-choice but says there should be no federal funding for abortions. He supports parental notification and is against late-term abortions. On the issue of gay marriage, Malpass says he only supports civil unions.

It looks like Joe DioGuardi, who used to be my Representative in New York, is the best of the three Republicans running. He’s the only pro-life candidate and he is more fiscally conservative than Blakeman or Malpass.
