The widow of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy is being urged by prominent Democrats to run for the seat currently held by Republican Sen. Scott Brown.
They believe that Victoria Reggie Kennedy has the best chance of any candidate to win the seat back in 2012, according to a report in The Washington Post.
Though she has seemed to bat down the idea, Kennedy has been in some ways acting the part of a candidate. She has raised her public profile by campaigning for other politicians and appearing at events across the country.

Before or after the family evicts her from her home? lol
That’s RICH!!!! HA-HA-HA-HA-blub,blub,blubbbbbbb...uf.
Yes Miss Vickie-—just tell the folks that it’s not Scott Browns seat but ‘the peoples seat’-—to be safely back under Kennedy control once again!
It would be a tough race, there wouldn’t be many differences to exploit.
True...the only difference is she’d be honest about it.
Of course, qualifications have nothing to do with representing the populace in the Senate. It’s all about influence and the elitist mentality, don’t you know.

What’s with this family dynasty thingie? Don’t the CommieCrates have a competent candidate to offer? If not, they should get into another line of work! JMHO
Scott is prettier.
Why not just put old dead Ted himself back in the seat. Aw heck, dead folks get to vote all the time as democrats.
Sure seems amazing though——every dead voter goes for those dems!
No conservative money to the next campaign for brown.Just might lose.
Shoot, she’s probably more conservative.
Has anyone heard her speak? Is she as, um, you know, articulate as, you know, Caroline Kennedy? /s
The left are at home with monarchies, dynasties, etc. What they fear the most are individuals with rights who needn't beg permission from some elitist to exercise a right.
This social construct is very old and is repleat with favoritism. If you 'know' somebody, for example, you can drown a young girl and become Senator someday.
America rejected this social arrangement at it's founding but somehow, it has crept back in. And with it went the rule of law- laws only apply to the commoner, not the elite.
Skip-out on taxes and you or I go to jail-- do it as head of the House committee that writes tax law and you get a slap on the wrist with similarly corrupt dignitaries attending your birthday party. Or, an appointment to head the Treasury Dept.
By encouraging spouses to fill seats vacated by their deceased loved ones suggests the seat was neither particularly demanding of skill or of much importance to begin with, and, that ideological continuity has greater merit. Term limits may not be the answer but it's a start.
You’d think in a state where more than 90% of the elected officials are Democrats that they could do better than this...
Gotta keep that “royalty” going. Snark, snark.
If I recall correctly, her father was a Democrat judge from Louisiana who was in jail when she married the Swimmer. So she’s got the perfect pedigree for both the Democrat party and the Kennedy family.
