I know nothing about the medication(s) involved with this, but at face value, it doesn’t seem to be a bad thing. Not much different than a traditional birth control pill.

Not much different than a traditional birth control pill. Do you understand that a traditional birth control pill contains a hormone (or combination of hormones) that do act as an abortifacient? It's written right in all the manufacturers' disclosures about the various formulations of the pill. They all act through one of three mechanisms:
- Prevention of ovulation
- Increase in mucous secretion that is supposed to reduce the chances of sperm being able to come in contact with the ovum
- Changes in the endometrium which reduce the chance of a fertilized egg from implanting on the uterine wall
A pill designed to work up to 5 days after, will vastly increase the changes of the third mechanism coming into play.

You have now stepped into the fringe group. Where stopping cells from combining is abortion. LOL, But you are correct!
