The Destiny of a Free Nation

The scale of the challenge facing us is formidable. Like all fearsome things, it is also exhilarating. In the blood and bile of this dying statist economy, we can see the desperate future of an indentured nation… a truth many of us have refused to see, when displayed in bankrupt socialism around the world. What is the destiny of a free nation? It will be a future of responsibility. Irresponsibility leads to dependence, which makes demands. It is impossible for anyone to be truly free until they renounce the obligation of others to provide their sustenance. Until then, dependents and providers wear matching sets of chains, and great power resides in the State that decides how long those chains will be. When resources are taken from each according to their means, and given to each according to their needs, the moral authority of those who balance those needs against each other becomes absolute.

This is where we are, exactly. I can't say it better. November will tell us if Americans want to be free or to be slaves.

It's as simple as that.

We’ll see.

http://hotair.com/archives/2010/08/13/video-im-willing-to-take-a-chance-on-something-different/

My dad lives in a formerly Italian neighborhood that is now almost 100% African American. He won’t move. He’s made friends with his neighbors.

Let’s just say that Obama has opened the eyes of my dad’s neighbors. They thought Obama would change their lives and he didn’t; he’s a politician like all the rest.

Now that they see that a black president has helped them even less than a white one ever did, let me just tell you that the lady in the video I posted is not alone. It is no accident that the GOP is launching a record number of African-American (though they would prefer to be called American only) candidates this time.

If Obama is counting on a clear 90% vote from the African-American population next time in his vote totals, he will lose.

Because it won’t happen. These folks feel cheated. How can you blame them, honestly?

I agree totally. This Nation of ours will be as free as the people of the country want it to be. If they sit back and let the dictators run things, we will lose that freedom. Just watch the Ethics Committee. If these people get off, you can see where we are going to end up. They need to clean house and fast.

I read some of the comments in the link.

People have to remember that it took the “progresive/socialists” 80 plus years to get us to this point. Just like weight management; if it took 10 years to put on an extra 100 pounds, it is unrealistic to expect to lose it all in a couple months, or even a year.

The doom and gloomers who are ready to throw in the towel irritate me. I understand, I have been there myself a time or two. But we must NEVER give up. Maybe it’s baby steps, but there is a core of Americans (and there always has been, even before there was officially a United States of America) who will do what must be done, and pull the rest along, whether they realize it or not.

We can fix whatever damage they are doing. It just won’t be over night, or even over 10 years. But we owe it to the next generations, if for no better reason than in honor of those before us laid the foundation for us.

And actually, there are too many in this generation who don’t deserve it, in my opinion, so we must (at least I must) have a higher cause.

I believe firmly that there was a Divine hand in the creation of the wonderful country. We are up against pure evil, and we need Divine intervention to get through and put this country back on the track it was intended.

Sorry for the ramble.

The United States isn’t Greece and it isn’t Spain. It has exceptionalism, ingenuity and the will to triumph. Go USA!!!!!
