Obama’s Ground Zero Mosque

At a White House celebration of Ramadan tonight in the company of representatives of several of the Nation’s most prominent Muslim Brotherhood front organizations, President Obama announced his strong support for one of their most immediate objectives: the construction of a mega-mosque and “cultural center” at Ground Zero. In so doing, he publicly embraced the greatest tar-baby of his presidency.

In the process, Mr. Obama also inadvertently served up what he likes to call a “teachable moment” concerning the nature of the enemy we are confronting, and the extent to which it is succeeding in the Brotherhood’s stated mission: “…Eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

As I suggested on another post, let them build the mosque, and then we fly a plane into it. Now that would be symbolism.

Here's some background that the piss-stream media will never tell you.

Let's look overseas: Hamas, which is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood has been formally designated a terrorist organization under our law for many years. According to its charter, Hamas's purpose is to create an Islamic Palestinian state by eliminating Israel through violent jihad.

The Muslim Brotherhood explained in an internal memorandum that their work in the United States was as a 'grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.' The Brotherhood said its tactic would be 'sabotage.'

The 1991 memorandum elaborates that every city should have an 'axis' and 'perimeter' from which this jihad-by-sabotage strategy is headquartered. That axis will be known as 'the Islamic Center.' Islamic centers are to become 'the 'base' for our rise, the memo says. They are to be the focal point of education, preparation, and the 'supply of our battalions.' Battalions are small cells of fighters. In Muslim Brotherhood ideology it is assumed that, at a certain mature point, when Muslim forces are strong enough, violent jihad will be effective. And Islamists prepare for it. Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, the spiritual guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, has proclaimed that 'dawa', the stealth form of jihad, is the method by which Islam will 'conquer America' and 'conquer Europe.'

The Saudis have been underwriting the Brotherhood's dawa efforts for decades.

The president's strategy is absolutely clear about the threat we face. Our enemy is not terrorism because terrorism is but a tactic. Our enemy is not terror because terror is a state of mind and, as Americans, we refuse to live in fear. Nor do we describe our enemy as jihadists or Islamists because jihad is holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam meaning to purify oneself or one's community."

I remember the audio clip that radio-show host Hugh Hewitt would play
in the days after 9-11 when it became apparent that Democrats were
out to weaken/compromise our response to radical Islam.

It was from the “Die Hard” film in which the voluntary civilian
played by Samuel L. Jackson is accussed by Bruce Willis that “you
don’t like me because you’re a racist”. And Jackson replies with the classic:
“I don’t like you because YOU’RE GONNA’ GET ME KILLED!!!”.

I would not be surprised to see obama at the ground breaking ceremonies and on 911 at the dedication of the mosque.

teachable moments imply that we need to be “taught” like children. I like that, lawn jockey....actually I think a lawn jockey would probably do a better job as POTUS.
