Great point.

The only positive result of the Obama administration is going to be that to a great many people, the “Racist!” smear just won’t mean anything anymore.

Michael Gerson pimping Romney
"Romney went on to dispute one of Kennedy's central arguments ...
Romney argued that Mormonism reinforces basic American values
Romney's speech, however, was an achievement.
Kennedy's speech remains a landmark of American rhetoric.
But Romney's deserves to be read beside it."

Michael Gerson pimping RomneyCARE
" Instead, the president chose the current complex, regulatory approach to reform,
precisely because it seemed less radical and disruptive than the other options.
It was patterned in part on health reforms in Massachusetts signed by then-Gov. Mitt Romney,
a Republican, thereby applying at least a veneer of bipartisanship.

"(The GroundZero Mosque) cleared its final hurdle ….
developers plan to build the $100 million center which will include a mosque.
Since its incipient stages in July 2009, when a Muslim-run real-estate development
company purchased the damaged, vacant building and land where the new center
will be built, the project has sparked controversy and debate.
.... the tattered building that was bought by the Muslim real estate company had
been owned by a subsidiary of Bain Capital, a company Romney founded in 1984.

If this guy was one of the people that was giving President Bush advice, it’s no wonder that his presidency fell apart at the end.

“while they claim that their nutty ideas are really GOP ideas.”

Who was it who kept insisting the “Islam is a religion of Peace” right after 9/11? Refresh my memory......Please

“MMMM...Kool-Aid”

Idiot.

Its not about them practicing their religion, or whatever they call it. It about giving Muslims their ultimate victory monument for 9-11.

I hope it will be desecrated daily as it desecrates the memories of those who died.

It has nothing to do with religious freedom. There are plenty of mosques in NYC. The issue is one of sensitivity and understanding by the people who intend to build it regardless of how the majority of New Yorkers and the American people feel. Is that how you build tolerance and understanding? Or are they trying to make an in-your-face statement?

Yes!They are using the libs fake tolerance to justify their victory Cordoba temple. If they do build it, it will be the first flag of victory planted on US soil, even though not the first mosque.

Who? You have that right. So they find the ONE nutbar Bush official/Republican that agrees with the left on something and then all of a sudden that makes it bi-partisan and middle of the road American - which it is not.

This is ridiculous.

There are no moderate, peace-loving muslims.

If there are, where are they.

If any of them truly decry the actions and attitude of the militant segment, they don’t dare say so.

Why? Because they like their heads attached to their bodies.

This is not a religion, it is a death loving cult.

Why is anyone surprised? After 9-11 Bush declared that Islam was a religion of peace, ignoring the fact that Islam divides the world into two: the House of Peace and the House of War. The House of Peace exists where sharia is practiced.

"An enormously complex and emotional issue -- but ultimately the right thing to do," Gerson said. "A president is president for every citizen, including every Muslim citizen.

Obama is also the president of those who lost loved ones on 9/11/01. The Mosque/Political Center can be built elsewhere those lost on 9/11 can't be brought back.

Right....
This is where BO’s arrogance kicks in.
He feels he has to comment on every action, no matter how vague.
Not saying this is a vague issue, but the dummy could have ‘supported the right to practice etc’, but finished off with, “However I am not sure this is the appropriate place for the Center.”
Sure, it is double speak but at least that way you don’t come across as a complete idiot (I know, I know) to over half the people....

I think they plan to start construction, then blow it up a few months prior to the 2012 election, blaming it on “right-wing extemists” and talk radio, pulling another Clinton coup. I can’t help but think there is a method to his madness and it has something to do with his re-election. Possibly getting us riled enough to do something stupid to scare the Indies into voting for the commies?

I hope cooler heads prevail. We must stop this atrocity from being built, but we must do it without violence of any kind.
