A man was arrested after the stolen car he was driving ran out of gas in front of the Criminal Courts building and just down the road from the Cook County Jail, officials say.
Eugene Edgeworth, 35, was arrested as he returned to the black 2010 Chevrolet Impala with a milk container full of gasoline, according to the Cook County sheriff's office. Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, sheriff's deputies noticed the car abandoned in front of the courthouse with its hazard lights on. Deputies checked the license plate and discovered it had been stolen July 13 from an Alamo Rent-A-Car in Lombard, the office said.
Edgeworth later returned to the car with the milk container and told deputies he had borrowed the car from a relative, the office said.
Deputies said they learned that the car was reported stolen after Edgeworth's relative failed to return the vehicle to Alamo a month ago.
Edgeworth was charged with criminal trespassing to a motor vehicle.

Wasting his time in the Windy City- he should be running for office in Detroit with those kinda smarts.
Some days suck and some days really, really suck. Maybe it was the Friday the 13th kind of thing.
I am guessing this charge is a way from calling it stolen and increasing the numbers.
Like the ad says, THAT WAS EASY...
Bell Curve!
He left the flashers on in a stolen car?
Why can’t they crack down on crime again?
Sounds like he could be a congressman.
