Yes, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was dishonorable.
How about this analogy?
We should embrace the Muslim compassion and build a large Christian church in Hiroshima or Nagasaki to show the Japanese we love Japan and denounce violence on all sides.

I'm sorry, you lost me with this non sequitur: "We should embrace the Muslim compassion" As Louie Anderson would say, "Are you on drugs?"

A better analogy: Japan attacks Pearl Harbor. The United States waits three weeks, sues for peace. Japan builds a monument to Bushido on Ford Island. Roosevelt endorses project, says they have the same religious freedom and property rights as any American. Japan, convinced that we are effete and harmless, continues over the next twenty years to conquer the world. We, however are proud of our tolerance and understanding, even though we are eating dirt, since Japan now owns the world. Then it's our turn at bat. Even though we are really nice and multicultural, Japan still wants to kick our ass. What could we have done to make them feel that way?
