But grief does strange things, and making sense is not one of the stages of grief....
I dont think the family dishonors Tillman. Nothing can dishonor his service to his country.
Once upon a time, a test of someone's character was how they handled adversity. Now, we excuse any behavior if that person is experiencing grief or hardship.
Nothing can dishonor Tillman's service in the eyes of the country and the military, but his family show him a lack of respect as a man and an American when they go on like they appear to be doing (assuming that the habitually-lying media isn't stirring things up and exaggerating statements...again).

I have not lost a son in battle. I don’t know the tillmans’ grief. I will not judge them at all, nor is there ANY purpose served by analyzing and judging their responses.
They are handling their “adversity’ the best they can, we are not “excusing “ grief reactions...they certainly haven’t murdered anyone in their grief. If everyone would just let them grieve however, this story would not go on and on.
I WILL judge the media who excacerbate this horrible situation as making money and fame off this accidental, but nobly inspired death.
