I believe Republicans are being set up with the ethics charges against Rangel and Waters. They will get a slap on the hand and go on with their corruption. However, ethics charges against Republicans will be filed right before the mid-term election and Demoncrats will be able to say “see, we investigated and disciplined our own”. It’s a setup as far as I’m concerned. There is NO way Demoncrats would be doing this otherwise. They have shown no willingness to deal with corruption among their own party before now. AND why is it two black members rather than all of the others out there?

Its a possibility, but so far the pubbies have not allowed themselves to be the face of the investigation and charges. As long as this continues, its a Pelosi story. Let them hang themselves. If they don’t punish them then the public will see it for what it is, “some animals are more equal than others.” I really don’t see how pubbies get tarred here. This becomes the backdrop to the NOV elections. Let it play out.
