First Ammendment will not permit this.
First amendment doesn’t permit tax dollars being used to fly terrorist imams around, nor does it permit the state department being involved in the building of mosques. So, as far as I can tell, the first amendment does not mean anything until we take it back and make it mean something.
Let’s roll.
First Amendment? Freedom of religion? That’s funny.
How would a ban on Islam work, anyway? Would it be illegal to read or write the text of Koran? Would you be allowed to practice any part of the religion but not call it “Islam?” Or would any activity that could remotely be interpreted as “Muslim” be outlawed (meaning we’d have to rip all the carpet out of church sanctuaries)? Wouldn’t terrorists just go underground and practice the religion using codes?
It’s a can of worms best not opened. We shouldn’t let our emotions run away with us on this one.

In all seriousness, and with full understanding of the implications of doing so, I believe the First Amendment should be re-written to _specifically exclude_ “the followers of Muhammed” from any and all of its protections.
Wasn’t it Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes who once said that “the Constitution is not a suicide pact”?
I predict that if we keep going in the direction we’re going, that our very own First Amendment is going to become the weapon that ultimately destroys us.
And for that reason, It should be changed so that it cannot become the instrument of our own cultural suicide.
Islam should be banned in the USA — and in the “rest of The West”, as well.
Islamics _in_ The West should be given two options:
1. Publicly convert, or,
2. Leave - under force, if necessary.
You’ll respond by saying, “if we demand that of them, we are no better than they are!”
To which I respond, “hogwash”.
What are the options that Islam gives to infidels? They give them three, I believe — what are they?
So long as Islam is what it is (and it is and must remain the UNCHANGEABLE word of Muhammed), it is anathema to all that The West believes and embraces.
So long as Islam is what it is, it is in fact a cancer upon The West.
What do we do when we find a cancer growing within our own bodies?
Do we “tolerate” it?
Do we embrace it?
What do we do about it?
