Almost nobody ever mentions the fact that the dems have had Congress since 2007. To the MSM and the left, these are still the “Bush years”.
The GOP seems to NEVER hit on this. They go after Obama exclusively. They talk about how bad things have gotten in 18 months. The left then counters that things started going bad before Obama...during the “Bush years”.
Truth is, the left has been in control for something like 42-43 months. Bush certainly had trouble with the veto pen, but the left has held the purse strings. I remember hearing Bush saying something along the lines of “the voters had spoken” when the dems took control, and that he’d do everything he could to work with them.
As a result, I’m really not sure how much of the voting public even realizes how long democrats have been pushing their agenda through. I think the media is doing everything in its power to make sure we don’t know.
