On Thursday's Today show, NBC's chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd started building the narrative for the liberal media to spout in case the Republicans win majorities in the House and Senate in the upcoming midterms - that the voters are just cranky about everyone and everything. Todd even went on to absurdly state that if the GOP has a big win it will still be seen as a "A bad election night for all of Washington." All of Washington? Even for the party that is victorious?
Todd, on with Today co-anchor Ann Curry, came up with that conclusion after reciting results from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll that showed "Everybody is angry at all things Washington" as Todd noted "Democrats hit an all-new high in their negative rating. Republicans have even a higher negative rating. The Tea Party, which had enjoyed a positive rating for awhile, now they have a negative rating." Todd, then, went on to prematurely throw cold water on any sort of GOP win as he claimed: "If the Republicans get the majorities, it's because people have decided to go into the ballot box and hold their nose, they're not happy with anybody."
The following is the full transcript of the segment as it was aired on the August 12 Today show:

And on CNN this morning, it was “No Experience Necessary” as the title to the segment about the three Republican woman who won big in their primaries the past week.
Where was “No Experience Necessary” when Hillary was running for the US Senate? Where was it when a chronically absent junior senator ran for president in 2008?
Todd’s definitely right. Snowe and Collins just cost us all another $16B on a bill, that left just to the democrats, would have cost $10B.
What’s the R means on the end of their names? Regret? Recidivist? Rapist?
Todd’s right.
That is our job now FReepers. Get ALL your conservative friends to the ballot box to vote.
Thank you!!! Finally, someone joins in and heralds the urgent need to get our guys and gals to the polls on November 2, 2010 to destroy the America hating Democrat Party and America Destroyer, POTUS Barack Hussein Obama!!! Kindly repeat it every time you post!!! Onward!!!
That's enough to make me anxious to pull the lever for Repubs. That and their PROTECTION OF LIFE AND FAMILY which is being steadily eroded as we speak.
I wasn't even going to mention the nuclear disarmament happening under Obama but I guess I will. If you don't see a difference between the parties there you're blind.
and democrats are just misunderstood..../sarc
Keep it up Chuck. It will only be a good night for the Republican and the people of America. However, it will be a miserable night for you, the Shame stream media and the Liberal Democrat along with the Socialist White House.
Put simply, NBC’s chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd is a CommieCrate whore, nothing more, probably much less.
Exactly how they portrayed it in ‘94. America pulled a tantrum. Or something.
But when Dems win, it’s hope and change and kumbaya.
Not all of Washington. Just the part that can be seen from the Space Needle.
Bad election night for Washington? I certainly hope so!!! If the dems are kicked out, it’s ESPECIALLY a bad one for Washington, but a GREAT one for WROA (What Remains Of America)!
Get ready, Chuck — get ready!
The Republicans are poised to take the house and perhaps the senate and this is considered a "bad election result". Todd must have been reading his usual daily talking points received directly from "Bozo the Spokesman".
If the MSM apologists are already spinning DemocRat losses with some 80 days until the election then things are looking absolutely tragic for their side.
I can't wait for November. It is going to be the beat down of a lifetime.
The Republicans need to understand this IS their last chance. If they don't grab the initiative and force Obama to use his veto -- repeatedly -- they are missing their last big opportunity.
It's not about compromising and bi-partisanship anymore. It's about stopping socialism in its tracks. We can't afford another 1995 budget cave-in.
