Didn’t some guy many years ago go into places where there were tax-collectors, prostitutes, and other assorted sinners for a dinner party? You do remember him, do you? His friends warned him about all the same things that some people (on here)are warning Ann about now! Did he listen? I don’t think so. However, he won a number of followers from among them; along with many changed lives!
Then there was that lady who broke into a house where this guy was, cry and pour her best perfume all over his feet! Did he chase her away and say “Eww, get away from me lady, I know who you are?
Who knows if Ann might be a good example to these people? Some people nearly had a fit when Rush had Elton John at his wedding festivities playing the piano! That doesn’t mean that Ann or Rush suddenly turned gay, just because they associate in a social setting with known homosexuals! Who knows if maybe Ann and Rush are some of those who God chooses to reach people in ways others can’t?
She’s not Jesus and she’s going there because she’ll get paid to do so. Witnessing has nothing to do with it.
Jesus spoke the truth to sinners to help them change.
What’s Ann going to say? Until she says it, we won’t know.
Will she approve of the GOProud’s legislative agenda I posted above, from their website? It’s not conservative other than the right to bear arms, it’s all unconstitutional homosexual agenda crap.
If she doesn’t say anything about that, she’s on the wrong side.
Jesus didn’t hang out with sinners because they paid him, for another thing.
No, I don't remember a "guy" doing that. If you are referring to the Savior, Jesus Christ, I can assure you that the topic during any dinner party He attended was the problem with the human heart being broken beyond repair. He likely also noted that the only possiblity of repentence was if He granted such.
And recall the same town in which He healed rose up and butchered Him for pressing this unhappy revelation upon their fragile psyches. He was not a popular figure amongst the leadership or the typical townsperson. They repaid His kindness with an executioner's cross.
But, perhaps Ann will be telling them about Christ and saying, "Fellas, you are in sin, just as everyone is, but yours manifests itself in an ungodly lust for sexual relations with each other. This is evidence of your depraved and broken natures, just as mine evidences itself in pride or anger or (fill in the blank). If you are able, if the Spirit is drawing you, you will notice that you sense an overwhelming guilt about this error, this sin. If you are among the elect, you will find yourself crying to God for some kind of relief. That relief lies only in the grace provided by God through Jesus Christ, a grace that manifests itself in an abandonment of trust in your own goodness. You will find yourself disgusted with not only your wicked behavior, but really every aspect of the human condition...including your own attempt to be good. When this begins, you are experiencing the first fruits of a rescue that you didn't start, and you cannot stop. You may be experiencing repentence and a turning toward faith in Jesus Christ, alone. If you are granted faith, you will find forgiveness and being clothed in His righteousness. Let me know if you would like to know more about this."
If this is her message, then you are correct. If not, then she is culpable for intimating that there is no problem with men having sex with each other. Same with Rush. Just because he understands illegal immigration does not mean he has a clue about the Scriptures...and he evidently does not if he admires Elton John enough to have him sing at his wedding.
Associating with homosexuals to explain their sin to them is one thing. To associate in order to lend them credibility is quite another. If you cannot spot the difference, you may want to revisit the Book.
