Are you saying that the President can’t have an opinion? It seems he has an opinion about everything else, but when it comes to muslims, he’s deathly quite.

If the people of the Catholic Church did what the muslims did in NY, do you believe that the President or the people of the country wouldn’t be doing the same thing? There’s a limit as to what the people can take, regardless of what our Constitution says. Where is that limit and what are our people supposed to do when they reach that limit? As we have seen in our history, people will take a lot if they disagree with things, but this is beyond just standing by and letting this continue. They are asking to much of the people and I don’t think they will stand by this time. Maybe they will, but that would be the end of what we believe in. It’s getting to the point that many are saying “Screw it, do whatever you want. I’m done.” Is that what we want? I don’t think so. You can push our people a long ways, but be careful. You push to far and look what has happened in our history. It may not be very pretty.

I think that the Mosque-community center is a stupid idea. But it is also a stupid idea if they ban it simply because it is a mosque, because that would be a gross infringement on our liberty. It is a slippery slope when you start taking away one group’s constitutional rights because you don’t like them. It is a bad idea and ugly to the core and blatantly anti-american to use state sanctioned religious discrimination-—no matter what religion we are discussing.
