WEST POINT — Cadet Katie Miller said she couldn't listen to her comrades toss around the word "fag" anymore, and making up stories about fictional boyfriends was driving her crazy.
So Miller, a lesbian who ranks No. 9 in her class of future Army leaders, stepped out the closet last weekend and quit West Point.
"I thought I would have the strength to re-closet myself," said Miller, who was openly gay to her family and friends in high school. "I completely underestimated the personal toll it would have on me.

to say that you are a homosexual heterosexual is to say that you are living in sin.
All it indicates is that you are attracted to the same sex. It does NOT denote committed sin.

It really was genuine. Though, I can see why you would think it not. I dont want to hijack this thread and go into a long debate over this. It’s enough of a daily struggle for myself to live righteously.
Sometimes all I can say is “Oh Lord! OH Lord!”
The word meant "cigarette" in my younger days, as in "Gimme a fag."
It had another connotation then. Like when you'd run wind sprints to exhaustion, and gasp "I'm fagged out."
But gay meant "happy" then, too, as in Cornelia Otis Skinner's "Our Hearts were Young and Gay".

You can be heterosexual and not sin. You can’t be homosexual and not sin. As I maintained, if you are professed homosexual, you are living in sin. If you are attracted to individuals of the same sex, but deny the temptation and refrain from sin, you are not homosexual.
And this is why you aren't God.

If you were being genuine, sight the examples which support your inquiry. I qualified my position by quoting God’s Word. Refute God’s Word, or at the very least, explain exactly where it is in this thread that I stated that my interpretation trumped everyone else.

It is not what this woman does in the privacy of her own bedroom that is the problem. Remember? We didn’t ask!!!!!
The problem is that she wants to very publicly tell us what she does and that she wants the rest of us to change our opinion of what she is telling us that she does.
To add to her faults: she lied, tried to deceive us all and then, when she got her feelings hurt when it turned out that other people **weren’t ** lying, she has to make this very public exhibition and explanation of her selfish wants!
It doesn’t even require bullets these days. Just gather up some classified documents and leak them till you feel better or grab a few brewskis and activate the emergency chute and away you go.

Who is being judgmental here? The fact that you find my post to be offensive does not mean I was being judgmental. Furthermore, the fact that you found my post to be offensive to you speaks, in fact, of your lack of genuine interest. You read my comments, found it to be offensive to you, then made a snide remark dressed up in a inquiry. You don’t bother to qualify your accusation either. If anyone is being judgmental, it is you, my friend.

This is true. Very difficult to recognize an individuals intent.

So can I, but the topic of this discussion between myself and two other Freepers were not on the subject of grace, love and redemption, and forgiveness. The topic of discussion was specifically concerning homosexuality, and whether or not homosexuality is a sin.
We are all free to jump into a discussion between other Freeps, just as another Freep is free to challenge your statements if you do so.
