This is why you dont see Catholic Churches, Jewish or Mormon Temples, Baptist churches or any other denominations church on Rodeo Drive, Wall Street or other high demand commecial areas. Unless they preexisted those high demand areas like St. Patrick's Cathedral on Fifth Avenue or St. Peter's Church on Barclay St. near WTC.

muzzlemen is the only ‘religion’ to not only ALLOW conversion at the point of a sword, but to actually require it.

yep, these same communists will happily bulldoze a family in the name of eminent domain, for the mere prospect of a big money commercial prize...not in one of the highest demand sites in NYC though...telling...

Everyone knows why they want to build Mohamed's Playhouse and Jihad Center on this location.
It's all about symbolism having to do with their attack on 911.

Well to “refresh” your memory, there was a Greek Orthodox church that was next to the WTC Towers and was distroyed when the south tower came down. I do believe it should be REBUILT first before a mosque ever gets built, period.

I do believe it should be REBUILT first before a mosque ever gets built, period. You're perfectly free to organize a campaign to raise funds VOLUNTARILY to rebuild that church. If you do, I'll be glad to chip in. My only condition is that you don't support effort to selectively use the power of big government to violate the first amendment and property rights of people who just happen to have religious views you don't like. Deal?

I don’t think any of us had any doubts about his motivation.
To: VRWCmember
Perhaps in a gesture of inclusion, tolerance, and embracing diversity we could fly an unmanned aerial vehicle loaded with jet fuel and explosives into the mosque once construction is complete.
I'm thinking 4 drones loaded with C4 - in honor of the 4 planes lost.
If we do this during the initial opening, when there is likely to be a poop-load of Moose-limbs and their sympathizers there, we would maximize our reward in the afterlife by sending all of these people to Allah, where they claim to want to go anyway.

Just to “correct” you. Did I say government land? NO!
What I am saying is that that faith community should not have to deal with red tape to simply get what should have been done a long time ago.

Sorry, Kirk. They HAVE the money to rebuild in hand, have had it for years, but can’t get permitted. Currently, NY is saying the proposed steeple is too high.

Another example of big brother’s tyranny over property. I’ll join you in fighting it. I won’t join you, however, when you make an alliance with big brother to selectively impose that tyranny on others. If you desire this zoning rule to be repealed, consistent support for property rights for EVERYONE is a far better strategy to achive the goal.

What I am saying is that that faith community should not have to deal with red tape to simply get what should have been done a long time ago. Agreed but I think we part ways (or do we?) if you want to SELECTIVELY impose red tape on others thus INCREASING the overall power of big brother. A far better strategy to get help from the church is to reduce the power of the zoning tyrannts across the board.

It’s what it’s all about. Nothing else. Any other “reason” is Bullshit.

As many of us had a hunch, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is intent upon building this Mosque as a symbol, a monument to radical Islams greatest victory over Western Civilization.Frankly I am astounded anyone could have ever convinced themselves otherwise. Yet instead of accepting this clear truth people chose to delude themselves by seeing it as a reflection of American tolerance and freedom.
Problem is they do not and will not allow themselves to understand the enemy. This isn't some "quirky" religion, it is a totalitarian political system and front and center in their playbook is to manipulate Western acceptance to facilitate their expansionism. These bleeding hearts will learn the truth one day...and it won't be pleasant for them.
