Your portrayal sounds pretty accurate to me, since we’ve got similar situations here in So Cal. I would not call Mexicans lazy — far from it — and when you see them coming on the sidewalk you don’t automatically have that urge to clutch your wallet closer. Not that they are not involved in crime, they are, but there isn’t that ‘hate whitey’ stuff we see so much from the blacks.
