Fifa has launched an investigation into claims the North Korean football team were officially punished for their early World Cup exit.
Fifa President Sepp Blatter said a letter had been sent to the country's football federation.
North Korea kicked off their first World Cup campaign in more than 40 years in promising fashion with a determined 2-1 defeat against Brazil.

If true, they should be banned from all International tournaments, until Chia and Company are out of power.

How exactly are they going to “investigate” this? While they’re there, perhaps they can have a little look-see for NBC weapons. I won’t hold my breath for either a soccer or NBC investigation.
I hope it’s just a rumour. One would hope that meddling with participants in the world’s biggest sports competition would be a little too obvious even for these guys...
Let them meddle with the Baseball or Cricket teams or other minor sports.
FIFA will talk tough...but will not do anything.
A group that is willing to put a World Cup in South Africa is not going to be tough on the NoKos...you can bet on that
