I’m not arguing with your logic, all I’m saying is the term RINO is here to stay and for you to campaign against that is really swimming against the stream.

This is a case where you could be absolutely right on the technical facts of the matter but completely lost with regard to your goal.

Which is what? I’m not sure.

You want people to stop calling McCain a RINO? You want people to stop using the term RINO to refer to other Republicans who are back-stabbing liberals?

Forget the perfections of your definitions for a moment and just consider this:

It ain’t gonna happen!!!!!!!!

A rose by any other name is still a rose. If you steal the term "RINO" it will be replaced with something like "Used to be a Democrat but he's running as a Republican out of a sense of personal accomplishment, to get even, or he doesn't like the party leadership".

And there we have it.

You can be running down the road using "RINO" to mean "Liberal" or "Leftwingtard" or "Moonbat" or ..............

I guess it depends on how much clever language you want to throw away on bad rubbish.
