What I want to know is who is paying for these vacations? Who's writing the checks and who is authorizing the writing of these checks?
While I have no issue with the US Government picking up the tab for the secret service, I want to know who's picking up the tab for the Obama's flights, the rooms, the luxury accommodations, the meals, the entertainment? Did Congress authorize these expenditures? Finally if they are not paying for these $5000 a night rooms themselves, are they claiming the value of these rooms and everything else as additional income on their income taxes?
I know if I were to get free vacations as a perk, I would have to include the value as income on my taxes. If I didn't, I'd get free accommodations in Federal Prison.

While Obama was only a thousand-aire prior to the Senate, he came out of the Senate a multi-millionaire with a worth, iirc, of about 5 million bucks. This was all from book sales, the current means of channeling big cash to the candidate of your choice.
That said, Obama and his vacation fetish indicates to me that he clearly is trying to lose the House so he can shift the finger of blame away from himself in the 2012 election.
As it stands, the Dems have had both the House and Senate for at least 6 years now, and NOTHING financial happens under our Constitution that doesn’t originate in Congress. The Dems are responsible for the recession, but the media has for years propagandized the public to believe that the economy lies at the President’s feet.
