I'm a bit ambivalence about this. One the one hand, I'm aware about the song lyrics and music videos of current popular musics. On the other hand, I also learn that some of the tween stars, like Jonas brothers and Selena Gomez, are openly against pre-marital sex... The same in the other popular culture: Twilight, for instance. It's among very few mega-popular series whose main characters are (1) very much against pre-marital sex, and (2) against abortion. Granted, the reasons are found in the story, not because of religious reason, but it is interesting how the author (a devout Mormon) weaves that to the story.
I think what we need is praying for the Christians who work in the industry. What happened to Mel Gibson, for instance, like it or not, reflected negatively on Christians.
Problem is...when the stars are very young and under the control of their parents (or Disney) they are demonstrably conservative about sex. The moment they turn 19 or get a boyfriend, like Brittany Spears or Janet Jackson, they turn into sluts.
By then the parents are looking the other way and the young kids are hooked.
