The problem with re-enlisting at 42 as an E-4 is that you have to share a room until a spot opens for E-5, and you jump through the hoops.

I never actually strangled anyone that shared a room (not to death) but some of them volunteered for duties that they didn't remember signing up for. And I once volunteered the room for training for sky-cops making a raid. (I was out that evening)

Making E-5 was a relief for everybody. ;)
