I don’t think that McMahon or Simmons are all that conservative, but if they can get us closer to 51 Senators, more power to them.

This is great news. Simmons was up over thirty when it was first announced he would run for Dodd’s seat, and the CW was that he was all but unbeatable.
Now admittedly, 10 points is still a commanding lead, and neither of the GOP candidates are ideal. But I still take heart from this.

Blumenthal transcends even corrupt Democrat politics. He is vicious, cruel and enjoys destroying people. He elevates contract disputes into felonies and freezes the assets of his victims so they cannot defend themselves. Then he goes on TV and gloats about it. He will set a new standard for Democrats if he gets in the Senate. Think Kennedy was bad and Schumer is? Blumenthal is worse.

Even better news was what Michael Barone said on Hugh Hewitt last night (or was ti anther guest?)
If their are a number of surprises in the Senate, those that are up next will be less inclined to rubber stamp cap and tax , etc. and this lame duck session may come to a screeching halt.
Pray for that senario, Barone is the dean of this stuff, I give his observation a lot of credence...

I think she is a lib disguised as a RINO, not my favorite, but a defeat of Blumenthal in blue CT would be awesome and send shockwaves.
If Scott Brown can win in MA, she might too.
Independent voters in CT are key.

Barone is the gold standard of election night coverage.

This is good news indeed. Also, because Linda McMahon can self-finance, she’ll draw money from the ‘Rat Party without draining her own party’s bank accounts.

Ya'll go right ahead and nominate one more RINO to represent your party.
yeah, that's a smart move

Election Day today, right?
Schiff should be the nominee, but probably won’t be.
To: Lloyd227
Linda McMahon isn’t Jim Demint, but if she was in the Senate last year instead of Dodd, there’d be no health care bill. I’d say that’s a smart move.

If Ted Stevens didn't get one of the all time screwing overs in American political history, there’d be no ObamaCare and Stevens would possibly still be alive.

Er...I meant “Blumenthal” was up over 30 at first. Not Simmons.

What good is 51 senators when you have 4 or 5 that are as likely to stab the GOP in the back as to support it?
