My enthusiasm for Beck has waned greatly since his attacks on those who are asking questions about Obama’s elegibility.

This was an act of betrayal if you put it in the context of Beck’s other causes.

That he allowed himself to be influenced by the left’s intense campaign to intimidate anyone who considers this a serious issue, suggests an underlying weakness of character, and a lack of real courage, and makes me suspicious of his overall sincerity.

I would have rated him a niner at one time. Now I give him about a five.

To be honest in the context of our constitution being in exiled I don’t see how the presidents eligibility is a serous high priority issue.

Lets say he wasn’t indeed born an American, well what we going to do about it? The Federal government seems convened he is the president and won’t even hear arguments to the contrary, just like the Federal government is convened they got absolute dictatorial authority over deciding the limits of their own power. But at least in the latter case we can practically challenge that with state opposition to their Federal edicts robing it of domestic force.

How are we going to get them to stop respecting the president?

I admit we can do as Arizona proposed to do in having state officials personalty verify the birth certificate of would be president before allowing them on the ballot and their electors to be cast for that man, but thats for future elections at best.

As for Beck’s rally in Washington, well I must admit Beck is a very imperfect man. I was first ticked off at him when he attacked Debra Medina for her slip up on the 9/11 thing. A serous mistake politically as Debra Medina was one our best hopes. But a mistake I think Glen later came around to realizing.

Of course now I’m becoming increasingly agitated at his reverence for Lincoln to the point where i even wrote a letter to him on the topic, the following day he seems to acknowledged parts of the problem with the ideas behind Lincoln’s actions.

But i can’t seriously expect Beck or America fight all of history’s tyrants, or be right on every matter.

Beck is an imperfect man just like the rest of us, hes not a leader as much as many of us have gravitated towards him as such almost default. Beck is instead a beacon of ideas, one of many and we must treat him as such.

We can’t win this fight if we take on every evil at the same time, we must restrict our targets to that which we can take out most opportunistically 1 at a time.
