Imanutjob is unhinged. He believes his mission on earth is to bring the apocalypse to fruition. If he gets a nuclear weapon he will use it towards starting the destruction of mankind. Better to nuke him now and limit the damage.

The longer we wait, the stronger they get, the greater the damage they can do and the larger the mess to unwind..
And then there is the potential of this thing escalating.
