No, that's not what I'm talking about and that's not what fractional reserve banking means. I explained the thing in post 264 above and have tried five or six times to explain it to toddster, which is sort of like talking to a tree.
Thanks for coming back to me on this --so what I'm getting here is that there's something y'all are calling FRB that's really bad but for the life of me I can't get what it is. I did a google on frb and it seems that most people are saying it's something like this:
Fractional Reserve Banking refers to a banking system which requires the commercial banks to keep only portion of the money deposited with them as reserves. The bank pays interest on all deposits made by its customers and uses the deposited money to make new loans. |
This is how money's been made out of thin air for hundreds of years-- is there something else that you're calling FRB that you've taking issue with?
