Lemme put it this way, CVR’s aren’t released cause the FAA runs things and they know if people hear the drawn out horro of crashes a lot less people would fly and that would cost $$$$.

I’ve read some pretty harrowing things about the 1978 PSA crash in San Diego. Apparently anyone who witnessed the scene on the ground will never forget it.

CVR’s are released-—just not before the final report is issued.

There are many websites that have the recordings posted, http://www.airdisaster.com/cvr/cvrwav.shtml is just one of many.
