Joint Forces Command has always struggled to justify its existence. Most of its functions can be transferred to Northern Command without skipping a beat.

Yes, I always thought of it as a great way to retire in the Hampton Roads area. Personally, that was my best location in terms of enjoying myself. In terms of training to fight wars, Korea or Fort Bragg would have been the best I think.
