Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, appearing on CNNs State of the Union Sunday with Candy Crowley, had some harsh words for his Senate colleagues and for a system that thwarts any real bipartisanship. He said its up to the voters to let their members of Congress know enough is enough.
The public is rightfully upset about their Congress not delivering but when we try, groups on the left and the right just yell and scream. What I want to do is make sure that we can find a way to move forward. The current status quo is unacceptable. Be mad, get involved, insist that the Congress act better, Graham told voters.
To me the only way that we can move the country forward is to find common ground on the big ticket items. I hope that people in the country will start rewarding that more instead of punishing it.
Politics is driven by those on the left and the right--party activists with a stake in the current system and the stalemate. But thats not solving the nations problems, he said.
If we keep yelling at each other, said Graham, if we keep just saying no to each others ideas were going to have one thing in common. Were going nowhere together.

The problem is the two party system that has entrenched itself into perpetuity. The system has been perverted to where it is the largest minority that has the power, not the majority. DumBO was elected because he had the backing of two large minorities, loons and racists. Here in Tennessee we had two good conservatives loose to a RINO. In the end the Bolshecrat candidate may be more conservative than the RINO, or, at least that is the way it will play in the campaign. Ms. Graham is looking for a RINO-DINO party. Though, I think he will be hard pressed to find any DINOs in the CIABNO (communist in all but name only) party.
can’t wait until this idiot is out of office...
In that same line of logic, Lindsay could also argue that only illegals can fix the US immigration policy.
Here's the thing, you little nitwit Lindsey, you've just said that you can not help solve our problems, because you are a Republican (ok RINO). You ought to resign or immediately become an independent, right there with Sen. Bernie Sanders. Both 'independents'. Hahaha!
He doesn’t have to. South Carolina voters keep reelecting him regardless of what he says or does.
It seems to be working for Charlie Crist.
It’s four long years before he is up for reelection.
If conservatives can’t salvage the Republican party, then what makes you think they can do anything substantial with an independent party?
After the elections, I can see him suggesting just that.
