Chilling... I used to live in South Windsor and went through Manchester frequently. Prayers...
Thereby leading us to believe that people who complain about racism and mentally unstable and dangerous
Yesterday I witnessed what might be the most bizarre racism charge ever. A guard of seeming Asian extraction at the DMV was telling arriving customers that the computer system was down, that they could wait to see if it’d come up, or leave and try again later. It was busy, but he managed to get the information to as many people as possible.
One young woman, seeming of Middle Eastern extraction, held up the guard with questions. A middle aged white man came in and got on line; the guard being engaged in talk with the woman, failed to tell the white man.
The woman then accused the guard of racism, not ‘getting it,’ for not advising the white guy ??? Say, what ??? Somehow SHE was being discriminated against because she was told about the computer system being down.
Total head scratcher.
Shut up and show us some proof.
>>>Thornton seethed with a sense of racial injustice for years...<<<
If the writer understood what he was writing, he’d realize that anyone seething over a sense of an ill-defined something that others are doing to them is the textbook definition of paranoid delusion.
Dem muhfuggin honkies done had it cummin’!! Sheeeeeit.
This story will prove to have a shelf life of zero, ONLY because the perp is black.
BYOG, indeed. Just bought one today.
But underneath, Thornton seethed with a sense of racial injustice for years “
Yeah, he seethed. Instead gathering video and audio evidence to use in a suit thus grabbing a huge pay day and getting the “racists” fired (or, hell, maybe even jailed).
He seethed.
Right.
“Are the news media seriously suggesting that this shooting was justifiable because someone showed racism towards the shooter?”
Yes. And many in the black community aren’t just suggesting it. They’re coming out and saying it.
To be fair, I’ve also seen black conservatives (including a couple who are freepers) utterly trash the insane idea. Sadly, their voices are in the minority.
It’s getting ugly.
Can you imagine if a white guy went on a rampage and killed several black coworkers? We would be subjected to the usual sickening homilies about all the hate in our society, how the Tea Party is ramping up racism because of BH0 etc. In this case I have not heard one word about J. Wright or other voices of hate and intimidation from the other side.
I know racism exists. But in this circumstance it is hard to believe it was so blatant and no one did anything about it. Unless the business owners were oblivious to the rest of the world they must know it is against the law and they could get into big trouble. Regarding the killer guy, apparently he wasn’t smart enough to know that all he had to do was say one word and the media and the rest of the elite establishment would be on his side. He probably could have threatened to sue and make millions. Sounds like he was just an evil nut on the inside waiting for some excuse to go on a killing spree.
At least he killed himself too and spared us the cost of feeding and housing him for decades.
Hannah and relatives of Thornton said the suspected gunman called his mother Tuesday morning and said he had shot five people.
Thornton’s uncle, Will Holliday, told CNN affiliate WFSB that in the call, the suspected shooter said, “’I killed the five racists that was there that was bothering me’ and he said that’s it, the cops are going to come in so I’m going to take care of myself.”
Meanwhile, The New York Times reported that Thornton had financial problems and was hounded by debt collectors for years. He had previously filed for bankruptcy and had student loans.

So every employer he ever had was racist?
It’s an understatement, but he should have found another way to deal with his situation besides murdering eight people.
Seconds after resigning he pulled out his gun and began the massacre.
He was nothing but a coldblooded killer. That should be his epitaph.
This is a persecution complex, many liberals suffer from this as well.
Yes, it was a black and white camera. I’m not trying to be funny by the way.
I suspect this Thornton was simply a loser who couldn't get along with people and was an inept worker, so he lost jobs, for which he blamed everyone but himself. Typical. He couldn't commit to marriage (his girlfriend sounds like an enabler) and he was caught (on film) stealing from his employer. Hardly a sympathetic figure. Of course his parents and friends praise his character and personality. This is typical. No one wants to believe the guy they thought they knew was capable of mass murder, in cold blood. The 'racism' excuse is handy and gets sympathy, especially from Blacks, these days,. However, as many other posters have pointed out, it just doesn't ring true. Omar Thornton was a despicable murderer who took the lives of eight people, for no real reason. Alleged 'racism' doesn't cut it.
I live in Connecticut and fortunately, the local media are focusing on the victims, not that much on Thornton, which is the right thing to do, in my opinion. He's a contemptible murderer who took his own life after his murder spree. Good riddance.
Good post!
I have been very distressed by this, because the victims are not only dead, but are now having their reputations destroyed.
I think this guy was a nutcase, and like many nuts with a persecution complex, he found some convenient thing to hang his insanity on. He’d had difficulties in virtually all his prior jobs (although one of the problems now is that former employers are so afraid of lawsuits that they can’t reveal what the problem is if asked for a reference) and was clearly going nowhere fast.
But I really feel bad for the victims, who by all accounts were decent, upstanding local guys.
Did he kill any blacks, btw? The place did have other black employees.
