It would explain sinking ships. Planes falling from the sky. Mysterious clouds. Pretty much all of it.
Same thing I was going to post. I remember watching a program about this theory almost 10 years ago, and it made sense at the time that I watched it.
Some computer model certainly isn’t more “proof” to me, though.

Nope I was caught in a storm in the triangle between Florida and the Bahama Bank in a 30 ft boat. It almost went down. It was not ‘gas’. It was very very strange.

I’ve gotta agree with you. They’ve been talking about this for at least 20 years or more. Methane coming up in large quantities would create a local very fast lowering of the sea’s density as a foam and allow a ship to just sink. Large quantities of methane continuing up into the air would stall and airplane’s engine making it crash.
