He was not a candidate, Carling. Chris Simcox was the only candidate in the race.

The Tea Parties “declared” and “promised” JD a whole lot of support too, prior to his “candidacy”. How did that work out?

Are you delusional, or are you just not reading the evidence I provided to you? Hayworth officially declared his challenge to McCain on 2/15/10; Palin appeared at fundraisers for McCain on 3/28 and 3/29/10. These are facts.

You are off-base for some reason, because Sarah Palin appeared at fundraisers for McCain while Hayworth was an official candidate for the AZ GOP primary. Hayworth had signed the proper paperwork in mid-February, and officially announced on 2/15/10. Either you're lying, you don't believe the actual evidence, or you're being willfully ignorant to the actual proof provided. Which is it? Here is some more proof, and again, the date is 2/15/10.

WOLF BLITZER: Today is presidents day and on this day, the last Republican who ran for president but lost receives a fresh threat to his job. We're talking about Senator John McCain. Today former Arizona congressman and now radio talk show host JF Hayworth announced he wants to force McCain into retirement. Hayworth announced he's running for the U.S. Senate saying McCain just isn't conservative enough for Arizona. The former congressman is joining us now from Sun Lakes. Congressman, thanks very much for coming in. JD HAYWORTH (R) ARIZONA SENATE CANDIDATE: Thank you, Wolf.
