BOSTONA pickup-driving image helped put Scott Brown in the U.S. Senate, so is Mitt Romney hoping it will drive him him to the White House?
The 2008 Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts governor drove a beat-up pickup to a New Hampshire fundraiser Thursday night. He's also driven it to other political events as he weighs another run in 2012.
Spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom (FERN'-strum) says Romney has owned the Chevy since 2002 and uses it for errands around his New Hampshire lakeside vacation home.
Fehrnstrom says Romney isn't trying to emulate Brown or his upset victory in January, when he claimed the seat held by the late Sen. Edward Kennedy.
Fehrnstrom says if Romney runs again, the preferred mode of travel will be the "Mitt Mobile" -- the RV his sons drove across the country in 2008.

Will it work?
Romney testing out some campaign themes, driving a beat-up pickup truck like Scott Brown.
Will it work?
No
Nice try, Mitt. But it won’t make you look like a man of the people any more than holding a hunting rifle made John Kerry look like one.
It’s amazing what passes for news these days.
Romney isn’t redneck enough
Romney would wear a white hood if he thought it would help him become President.
This is just another example that Romney is not what he appears to be.
Oh, please.
This just bolsters Romney’s plastic persona.
Finger in the wind?
One RINO MA Republican is enough.
True....but it is interesting to track what the pols are testing...for political junkies anyway.
Driving a pickup to your Lakeside Manse - Yeah, right.
And, what’s with all the stereotypes? All of us regular people don;t just drive pickups and chew on corn stalks. Give me break.
Talk about out of touch, lame, canned optics.
Bwahahahahaha...!!!
At least now he can put his dog in the bed of the pickup instead of on the roof of the car...
I hear that the libs on the East Coast love Scott Brown...(his vote against Kagan was obvious..he knew she was a slam-dunk, so he thru us a faux bone)
Brown will prob endorse Romney, so they will be a powerful force in the GOP primary.
Our primary voters LOVE men who don’t make waves, men who reach out to the left.
I wonder if it has a gun rack.
ROFL!
For Moose hunting?

Exactly right!
