Now Target has stepped in it. I let them know that they have now alienated the great silent majority with their "apology" for supporting American values. I suggest the like-minded do the same.

They did not step in it, they donated to someone who might adopt policies that would help their business. That some of their idiot employees might like to lose their jobs, is their tough luck.

As I recall, Target gave a ton of money to the abortion industry. Don’t recall them apologizing for it.

I don’t think you’ve read the latest. They are now “apologizing” for making the donation to the pro-business group.

Well, gee, maybe I should buy some of their Chinese garbage and then turn around and return it all. Of course, apologizing for momentarily supporting a leftest cooperative like Target (remember that Target used to be Daytons — as in Mark Dayton, that notoriously lib Minnesota politician...former senator who is now running for governor)

No, I see you meant they step in it by apologizing, while I thought you meant they stepped in it by giving the money to a pro business candidate.

"In an email to supporters today (subject line: Shop at Target?), MoveOn is circulating an electronic petition to tell Steinhafel that "you're not going to shop at Target unless they stop trying to buy elections."

How dare anyone infringe on any of the activities the Left believes they have exclusive rights to.

Timely report on Target. Was planning on some shopping there this weekend for the sales tax holiday.

Thanks for that reminder. I was trying to remember if they wouldn’t let their employees say, “Merry Christmas” or not.

It looks like they took down their “Civic Activities” contact page so I used their regular contact page site:

I don’t care if they contribute to NAMBLA. I’m still going to shop there.

And I have Progressive Insurance, too.

Boycotts are stupid.

Oh Lawd, it’s the femenazis all over again. Only this time it is not just the dykes; the gay men have joined the ball busters.

Companies shouldn’t be making donations anyway. It is really you, the customer, who is paying for it, and the company gets the tax deduction! Ditto for sponsoring charity sports events. The CEOs get a nice, free trip to a cool event, again the company gets the tax deduction, and we the customers pay for it all in higher prices for their products.

I would much rather get the lowest price on what I buy and do the donating myself to the charity or cause of my choice.

All this rampant feel-good stuff is making me ill. If I hear one more person use the phrase “give back”, I’m going to smack the stuffin’ out of them.

Thanks much. Someway I’m going to find someone there to contact. In the meantime we are trying to get a boycott started locally among our Pubby Women’s group. You’d think some of these folks would learn to stay out of the political arena - they would save themselves a whole lot of grief. And I’m really beginning to get mad as I am running out of places to shop. My nine-year-old grandson even checks the list on the frig to see if I’ve added anybody since he was over last.
