ST. PETERSBURG - Sandie McConnell doesn't know how she'll raise her 4-month-old son, Roy IV, without his father.
"This drunk driver didn't just steal the lives from these awesome men but from their friends and family. This world was a better place with them in it, I still can't believe this has happened," said Sandie McConnell, Roy III’s widow.
Police say the young man who killed her husband, his two brothers, and their father was drunk and high on marijuana.
Investigators say Demetrius Jordan, just 20 years old, told them he'd mixed alcohol with Four Loko -- an energy drink laced with caffeine and malt liquor. It's alcohol content is 12 percent, more than twice of the average beer.
Caffeinated alcoholic drinks have become more and more popular with young drinkers. YouTube is filled with videos of their buzzed, and often bizarre, behavior after downing the drinks.

Yeah, it was the energy drink that did it. The Pot and the booze played no part at all.
Nevermind that you can sue an energy drink manufacturer, but can’t sue your local pot dealer...
Morons probably think the caffeine cancels out the alcohol. You just become a high-energy DRUNK!
I would blame the person who got drunk and high and then decided to drive, personally.
But thats just me.
Nevermind the facts that neither can 20 year-olds legally drink anything nor can one drive a motor vehicle with that much alcohol in one’s system, regardless of the type of beverage. That just doesn’t sell newspapers.
