Vote for us, and we'll give you houses for free, free, free! (the right wing slaves will just have to work longer and harder to pay for it.)
To: Qbert
All I can say is if he has the “cajones” to do this and not the other things that need to be done, the voters will go nuts.
My car payment is upside down, do I get a bailout?
My house isn’t, because I followed the rules, read the contracts, and didn’t buy more house than I could afford...and for that...for doing the right thing...I get NOTHING.

What pisses me off is the sacrifices I have made to stay current with my home mortgage, and not to buy more than I could reasonably afford, then these damn Democrat jackboots decide the ones who have not followed all the rules, they get a bailout, paid for with my taxes, just to buy more votes.
Where is my cut? I should have bought a mansion!

OR one last screwing to America. They know what November brings.
To: Qbert
Although large and increasing, the group of people who would benefit from this move would not be large enough to help in the elections. Far more would be disgusted by (1) the unfairness of it, (2) the fiscal irresponsibility of it, and (3) the cynicism.
Am I missing something?
To: Qbert
Clearly unconstitutional because Obastard would be essentially spending taxpayer money without authorization.

How about we just go back to the constitution as the law of the land? The president does not have the constitutional authority to do this. In fact, Obama should be impeached for subverting the constitution with all of his Marxist crap.
Remember in November!!
Rebellion is brewing!!

This is the danger with commie/fascist/socialist/progressive dummies. They try to pass off their hairbrain schemes. Then when all hell breaks loose, do they stop and say ok we better back out of this dead end street. NO, they see the brick wall and say lets floor it and see what happens.

Giddy, overextended homeowners line-up at the Fannie and Freddie store for their going-out-of-business mortgage giveaway promotion.

Is this what they call "Obama Money?"

Under what Constitutional authority is POTUS doing this?
Would this not require the US Treasury to borrow $800bil...if not from the "economy", at least from the FED?
How does Fannie/Freddie actually clear their books?
Hell, does money even MEAN anything anymore?

An estimated 15 million U.S. mortgages — one in five — are underwater with negative equity of some $800 billion.

So my neighbor who let his house go on a short sale, and now has a low credit score....will the Messiah fix his credit as well?
To: Qbert
well, if he made it to the end of the month without taking another vacation it would be a surprise.
