I was three when this happened. I remember it vividly though. We had a chance to be at the launch of Apollo 11, my uncle worked for NASA, but for some reason, we were there a few weeks earlier. B-( Still, at least we saw it on our 1959 Philco. This was probably the biggest achievement of all Mankind, the first time we left our world and walked on another. 12 people have walked on the Moon, I daresay that is the smallest minority of all.

Seeing all of this at a young age has sparked my interest in science and technology. I wanted to be an astronaut but fell very, very short. I'm just an average delivery driver but I know space has really sparked my interest in things like computers, electronics, radio, amateur radio and the like. I liked one film they showed at the Cape when I was there in 1999 about a man who wanted to be an astronaut but did not make it but he ended up working for NASA in electronics. That story brought tears to my eyes, knowing that even if he wasn't in the limelight, he was among thousands of people who were behind the space program.

I like to listen for the space station on my police scanners and my goal is to communicate to the ISS via two meter amateur radio.

I remember the BiCentennial of 1976. We had Viking land on Mars but that was the nadir of manned space exploration by NASA. Still I remember commercials on TV showing the "we can do it spirit" of America showing things like the Wright Brother's Flyer to Apollo 11's Eagle landing on the Moon.

Now Imam Obama in the White Hut in his infinite dumbness and/or vile plans, has gutted the space program. The Moon is out, Mars, out of the question. I'd like to say to Imam Obama, "you dang retard! What in the heck is wrong with you?!" when he gutted NASA. OK, I'm not picking on people who are retarded through no fault of their own, I'm a "child of the 1970's." but this guy supposedly is smart. Personally, I do think Imam Obama is out to destroy the United States, NASA is a part of that. "It's all part of The Big Plan." Despite advances in computer technology and biology, I think we have slipped backwards in many things. The United States of 1968/1972 could go to the Moon, the United States of 2010 cannot.

I liked "For The People's" Chuck Harder. He suggested for years that we go to Mars, it would bring back a lot of jobs as well as national pride again. I'd go for that

These 12 astronauts are old men now. We lost 3 already. I hate to see them all pass away before we go to the Moon again, let alone Mars. That's a depressing thought. What is worse is we have an entire generation of people who are adults and the oldest are getting close to middle age who have NEVER seen a man walk on the Moon live on TV. You have to be around 40 or older to have seen these marvels, I feel good to be a part of that generation. I'm 44 as I write this.

We are letting nations like Russia, Red China and even India take the lead through our inaction. I have nothing against India but the other two, if I may borrow from LBJ, "do you want to sleep by the light of a Communist Moon?" Well, Imam Obama wants us to go Commie so what can I say?

Digressing, I hope we can neuter Imam Obama this year after the midterm elections and toss him out of the White Hut in 2012 as we say, "the tribe has spoken." Then we need to get back the lead we had in space.

Well, I have to stop, I should be in bed, not Freeping, got work tomorrow. Millions on welfare depend on me.

Holodeck computer, end Imam Obama Administration Program NOW!!!

Beam me up, Scotty! B-P

Happy Birthday, Neil!
