Doesn’t matter. Most of the rigs have left or are under contract to leave (obama’s moratorium voided their previous contracts). Ending the moratorium now won’t change much. The economic damage is deep and will be long-lasting.
Of course, most of the electorate, esp those who vote donk, are incapable of understanding these fairly simple realities. That means obama can “lift” the moratorium and then blame the eeeevvviiiillllll oil companies for the long term damage. Sigh.
