They stopped all leaks cold this evening. Right around the time Thad Allen gave them the okay to cement. Was 7 pm cst. Now was that a coincidence ? Cement was the best way to stop the leaks. The 3 Ram Capping Stack Leak - Stopped Cold. The New Top of BOP Seal Leak - Stopped Cold. They were leaking strong for at least 10 hours after the Top Kill mud process was declared a success. And leaking strong for at least 10 hours prior to the cement announcement.

Stopping the stack leaks is good news, but if we have sea floor leaks, there is nothing that can be done about them until the Relief Well is completed. My guess is the BOP is cemented now. And this may be why they have 4 ROVs dedicated to watching the floor.

There was no mention of how they know they got mud up into the annulus....where it was speculated the oil flow was coming from.

Prior to the the blowout this well was a “Spindletop”
gusher. Will BP be able to get this oil? Since
their rig was destroyed, will they abandon it, or
make another attempt to get the millions of barrels
down there? Just Curious.
