Yep, ‘Dumplin ears’ is what his buds in grade school called the won.
‘Dumplin ears’ is one of the terms that Dumplin ears instructed his minions on DU, I think, to certainly not use.
Thats why I used it. The other names not to use were:
zero and barry.
So, use them gleefully! LOL!
He then worked for Sen. Brownback, wrote speeches for Jack Kemp and Bill Bennett and got elected to Congress in 1998, where he is now.
I like him a lot, just not sure he's ready to be a VP candidate in 2012. I would need to know more. The challenges facing the next president are enormous and at best, we've got one shot to turn this country around before it's too late. Some around here, including FReepers I respect, think it's already too late.
Maybe I'll change my mind on Ryan. For the record, I had no such qualms about Sarah Palin from the time I first took a hard look at her in early 2008. She's a natural-born leader and it was apparent to me right away.
I like Ryan a whole lot and yes, I know he voted for TARP. He represents Jaynesville, WI and I know someone who’s a big donor and local supporter of his.
Sarah likes him too and has mentioned him by name on more than two occasions.
She sure did well on Hannity tonight - loved it when she said she prays to God that congress (the Senate) won’t rubber stamp Kagan. Lord and senators, hear our prayer.
LOL. Dumplin ears - you got it!
In there the wind only blows in one direction.
He may be insane but he is not expecting different results. He is getting just what he wants. He doesn't care about the next election either because he plans for there not to be one or he expects that what he has done cannot be easily undone. Take your choice as neither is good for us.
All totalitarian regimes need an enemy. For most of the world it has always been the USA. For the Democrats it is Bush. The Democrats and the media demonized everything Bush did for a solid eight years. That was to pave the way for what we got, another flaming liberal.
“I actually heard the uber dumb, establishment-romney-rove-bush-girl dana perino babble inanely that the GOP should offer to change the name of the Bush tax cuts to the Obama job growth plan and give him the credit for any recovery that may take place.”
I am desperately sick of listening to her. I like Stuart Varney, who has good sense and is well informed. I long ago tired of Perino. As you say, she is there to do the bidding of the Bushes. If Romney looks unable to secure the nomination, Perino will use all her (thankfully, very limited)intellectual and persuasive skills to try to derail Palin. The objective will be to re-elect Obama in 2012 and thus clear the way for the third Bush in 2016.
Many, if not the majority, of the Establishment would rather re-elect Obama than have their greasy, corrupt fingers pried off the GOP they stole back from the Reaganites in 1988.
Palin is going to seize control of the GOP in 2012 and serve two terms. But her influence will not end there. In fact, it will only have begun. Unlike Reagan, who was almost 80 when he left office, Palin will be ONLY 56 years old when she leaves office in 2020. She will be around for another quarter century or more making sure the RINO Establishment never gets control of the GOP again. The Romney/Bush? Rockefeller crowd fear this eventuality more than they do her election in 2012.
bttt
“Did you ever hear him as an independent voice standing up and speaking out against his Democrat partys overspending and over reach?”
Right. Powerful point. Obama is up to his, uh, ears in all the wasteful spending even as senator.
