I met Brig. Gen. Paul W. Tibbets at a presentation/book signing held a few years back in Omaha, at the (then) SAC Museum.

He gave a brief presentation, then just talked a bit. It was very much like listening to stories your granddad would tell you, most not even having anything to do with "the bombing".

I still have the book he signed.

I went to a book signing in Branson, MO

Tibbets, Ferebee and Van Kirk were there.

I thanked Tibbets for what they did. Very humbly he replied "we would like to think we made a difference".
