The entire Tibbetts family is owed an apology for even considering an apology to the Japanese! Countless war crimes were committed by the japs in WW11! The bomb stopped it all and saved thousands or more lives. Paul Tibbetts was a hero for braving a plane with such a load and I’m sure suffered for years afterward grappling with such a responsibility.

You are right about the countless Japanese atrocities, which have been white-washed in Japan.

You are wrong about “suffering” or “grappling” over what he did. Many times people attempted to shame him into apologizing for what he did. His response till the day he died was he would do the same exact thing without hesitation.
