i’ve known a number of people that started out with nothing and were very conservative and when they got super wealthy they became very socialistic.
I think making a lot of money made them feel guilty.
These weren’t IT people, they were construction, metal foundry, machinists and plain down to earth hard working people that didn’t get rich over night, i’m talking over a period of 40-50 years.
“I wish they would put it towards the government debt. That would help future generations more than anything.”
Their total wealth put together would be like trying to raise the level of the ocean by pissing in it!
